Achievements

Samrat Dutta is an eminent Bharatnatyam performer, choreographer and teacher based in Kolkata. Being a disciple of Padmabhushan Prof C.V Chandrasekhar, Samrat is also been trained in Marga Natya under Kalamandalam Piyal.

Being a fine performer,Samrat has performed in many prestigious festivals throughout the country.Being a TOP Grade solo Bharatnatyam artist of Prasher Bharati( Doordarshan Kendra) ,Samrat is an empanelled Bharatnatyam artist of ICCR and a Junior Fellowship holder of CCRT( Ministry of Culture, Govt of India).

Samrat is the founder of the Bharatnatyam institute "ANGAMANTRA" based in Kolkata where the new generation is been trained in a modern outlook following the deep rooted traditional philosophy.
